Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan

Introduction:

Malik Rasheed Ahmad Khan (ملک رشید احمد خاں) born on 6 November 1949. He is son of Abdul Kareem Khan. He belongs to Fateh pur (فتح پور) village of district Kasur. He is an agricultural farmer and professionally a Lawyer. He served as Secretary district Bar Association Kasur from 1978 to 1980.

Political Career:

• He was elected as the member District Council Kasur from 1991 to 1993.

• Malik Rasheed served as the Administrator, Market committee Khudian District Kasur from 1989 to 1993. 

• He had worked as Secretary General PMLN Kasur.

• Malik Rashid Ahmed Khan was elected as MPA in 1997 on PMLN ticket and remained MPA from 1997 to 1999. 

• He served as Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Government of the Punjab. 

• He had joined PMLQ and had served as Tehsil Nazim Kasur from 2001 to 2005. 

• He won elections of 2008 and elected as MNA.

• Contested the by-election in 2012 and won the MPA election as an independent candidate. 

• Won election of National assembly in 2013 on PMLN ticket and become MNA. 

• In 2018 also, he won the MNA election on PMLN ticket. 

• After that, he contested MPA election from PP 175 constituency in 2024 and was the runner up. He lost elections first time. This seat won by Sardar Rashid Tufail Khan on PTI Ticket.

• Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan has also been a member of District Council.

His nephew Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan is the most famous politician of Kasur district and currently serving as Speaker Punjab Assembly. His nephew Malik Ahmad Saeed Khan is also a famous politician and 4 time winner of MPA elections. His family member Haji Sardar Khan was also MPA during 1985-1988, 1988-1990 and1990-1993.
