Haji Rana Sarfraz Ahmad Khan was born on 12 May 1961 to Haji Rana Gulzar Ahmad Khan in Gulzar Jagir, district Kasur. He is married and has six children. 

Haji Rana Sarfraz Ahmad Khan continued his studies at FC. College, Lahore, and graduated from Punjab University, Lahore in 1983 with Bachelor of Arts.

Political career

Haji Rana Sarfaraz Ahmad Khan won general elections 2002 from PP-184 by getting 27894 votes on PMLQ ticket and represented Kasur as MPA in the 14th Punjab Assembly from 2002 to 2007. During this session, He was associated with Pakistan Muslim League and held important positions as member of Standing Committee on Agriculture and Standing Committee on Law and parliamentary affairs. Elected in the 2002 general elections, he also attended the National Security Workshop at the National Défense College, Islamabad in August 2004.
